Nestled on the east rim of Wagner Cove at the bottom of a steep rocky incline
is the Cherry Hill Boat Landing in
Central Park.
Having been converted to a shelter
once boats no longer traveled the
grand perimeter with enthusiastic
passengers it is a favorite hideaway
for those seeking some moments of
quiet isolation or couples who enjoy
the romance of this rustic seclusion.
It is still just as popular today with
artists and photographers as well
as romantics, as it was in the
19th century.
