This small
meadow central to Rose Hill is a uniquely tranquil environment and a
setting as well for many species of plants
and wildflowers.
Visible to the left is a blooming Magnolia
in bloom. Various species of wildflowers
like White Snakeroot, Bittersweet
Nightshade, Goldenrod, Clematis and
so
many others flourish in this veritable
garden during the summer months.
The unique placement of trees and shrubs
provide visitors with secluded places for
reading and relaxation. Visible east is the
venerable, austere statue of Daniel Webster overlooking the activity at the intersection
of the West and Terrace Drives.
