It is rare
that anyone but local inhabitants
travel this walk at the edge of the
Upper Meadow. It is the place where the
Meadow and the Woodland Slope intersect.
It is a narrow path filled with a variety of
colorful shrubs including Rhododendron,
Carolina Allspice, Mountain Laurel and
Jetbead that winds its way down the
wooded slope where the wildflowers of
Goldenrod and Rugosa Rose signify its
termination.
Though this area has been modified and
improved in recent years it is easy to get
a sense of the adventure John and Yoko
must have experienced as they explored
this rustic environment.
