Asian Eyelid Surgery
This is a specialized surgery done to add a crease to
the upper eyelids in Asian patients
but not to erase their ethnic features.
The procedure is done under local anesthesia on an outpatient basis unless
combined
withan other procedure. The limited incisions are made
in the upper lid to remove excess
fat and reposition the fold.
The bruising and swelling will last 7 to 10 days and most patients will
return to social
activities in 10 to 14 days. Eye make-up can be used
within 5 days and contact lens
can be worn in 3 days.
