Facelift
Due to normal aging, the facial and neck skin elasticity
may weaken to cause "sagging."
This process may be accelerated by the harsh environmental
elements and cannot be stopped. However, a facelift will restore a more
youthful and less tired appearance by
about 10 to 15 years.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation which
can be done
on an outpatient basis (although an overnight stay in
the hospital may be recommended).
The incisions are strategically placed within the hairline
and around the ear to obtain
the best non operated look.
The sutures will be removed within 14 days. Bruising
and swelling may persist for 2 to 3 weeks, but will eventually subside.
The results will be evident in 4 weeks or less with continued improvements
for months.
